1. Sustainability & Ecological Impact (40% Weighting)
This is our non-negotiable foundation. We go far beyond simple ‘eco-friendly’ claims and measure tangible impacts.
- Propulsion & Emissions (15/40): Zero tailpipe emissions from our electric propulsion system. Use of solar panels for auxiliary power.
- Waste Management (10/40): Strict zero single-use plastic policy. Onboard water desalination and bottling. Comprehensive waste sorting and certified disposal in Labuan Bajo.
- Supply Chain (10/40): At least 70% of produce sourced from local, organic farms in Flores. Seafood sourced only from suppliers who adhere to sustainable fishing practices outlined by the KKP (Kementerian Kelautan dan Perikanan).
- Conservation Contribution (5/40): Direct financial and data-sharing support for verified conservation partners like the Komodo Survival Program. Adherence to all park regulations, including the use of mooring buoys to prevent anchor damage.
2. Safety & Regulatory Compliance (30% Weighting)
The safety of our guests and crew is paramount. We adhere to both Indonesian maritime law and international best practices.
- Vessel Certification & Maintenance (10/30): Vessel registered and inspected by the Indonesian Directorate General of Sea Transportation. Proactive maintenance schedule exceeding manufacturer recommendations. All safety equipment (EPIRB, life rafts, etc.) SOLAS-compliant.
- Crew Qualifications (10/30): All crew hold valid STCW and Buku Pelaut. Captains hold minimum ANT II certification. Onboard medic with advanced first aid training. Regular emergency drill cadence.

- Culinary Excellence (5/20): Professionally trained chefs. Menus tailored to guest preferences, featuring fresh, local, and sustainable ingredients.
4. Authenticity & Community Impact (10% Weighting)
We believe travel should be a force for good, creating meaningful connections and positive local impact.
- Local Employment (5/10): Commitment to hiring over 80% of our crew from Flores and surrounding communities, providing fair wages and benefits (including BPJS insurance).
- Community Engagement (5/10): Respectful and supportive engagement with local communities. Sourcing of traditional crafts (e.g., Tenun Ikat) directly from artisans. Contribution to local education or infrastructure projects.
